Halifax GPA twinning Programme gets off the ground

28 June 2008; Cork goalkeeper Donal Og Cusack, centre and Cork trainer Jerry Wallace who touched down in Fermanagh for the latest event in the Halifax sponsored Gaelic Players Association Hurling Twinning Programme. Cusack and Wallace travelled by helicopter from the Castleknock Golf and Country Club to the Fermanagh County Training centre at Lissan outside Enniskillen where they conducted an extensive coaching session with the Fermanagh senior hurling squad. The Hurling Twinning Programme, aimed at promoting hurling in the non-traditional areas, sees counties from the Nicky Rackard Cup paired with their counterparts at Liam McCarthy Cup level.
