Opening of Sports Surgery Clinic by Lord Sebastian Coe

14 November 2008; Lord Sebastian Coe, Chairman of London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, today officially opened SSC, a new 75million euro world-class hospital that brings together the expertise of consultants in Orthopaedics, Diagnostics and Sports Medicine in a purpose built clinic, one of only a handful of its kind worldwide. Lord Coe is pictured with boxer and olympic bronze medalist Darren Sutherland. Located at Santry Demesne in Dublin, the 130,000 sq ft. SSC will employ over 160 staff, and caters for people of all ages affected by musculoskeletal injuries, which includes major joint replacement, specialist sports medicine clinics and rehabilitation programmes.
