The Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs) act as a hub for sport at a local level in each county across the country. They provide information, advice and support to the local sports sector, training and education as well as rolling out Irish Sports Council's national programmes including Buntús and the Women in Sport Initiative. 23 April 2008; Show Racism the Red Card presented its education pack and project proposals on integration to party leaders. Show Racism the Red Card received government funding in 2007 but unfortunately this funding has now ended. Patrons of the project were in Dail Eireann to support the request for continued funding to allow the project to carry out direct work within schools, national governing bodies of sport and the immigrant community to address racism and promote integration. The project has received a commitment from the FAI for support and is hoping the government will come up with enough matching support.
