24 March 2010; Ronan Keating confirms entry to SPAR Great Ireland Run! When his sell-out world tour came to Dublin this week, singing superstar Ronan Keating took the time to receive his race number for this year's SPAR Great Ireland Run from his sister Linda, Fundraising Director of the Marie Keating Foundation, one of the Run's supported charities. Ronan's tour winds up in Malta on April 3rd and after a short family break he will be fit and raring to go in the Run on Sunday April 18th in the Phoenix Park. 8,000 people have already signed up for Ireland's fastest growing running event with entries available on-line at www.greatirelandrun.org or by calling 1890 930 139. All entrants will receive a technical T-shirt before the event. 23 March 2010; In October 2009, Show Racism the Red Card put out a call for schools, youthreach centres and youth services to be creative in producing entries to a competition. 62 centres of learning responded to our call from all parts of the country involving up to 2000 young people. In addition, it is estimated that more than 15,000 young people have participated in SRTRC workshops over the last year. For the competition young people had to watch the SRTRC DVD and then with the guidance of teachers, tutors and youth workers devise creative ways to communicate their thoughts about the themes addressed in th DVD. Entries were received in the form of poem, testimony, surveys, paintings, pictures and audiovisual. Among the many prizes pupils of St. Eunans National School, Raphoe, Co. 22 March 2010; Irish and Leinster rugby stars, Bernard Jackman, Sean O’Brien and Kevin McLoughlin lined out today to launch the Centra Rugby Summer Camps, 2010. The camps will take place in a range of venues throughout Leinster, Munster and Connacht in June, July and August giving rugby hopefuls a week long, aion-packed and fun rugby experience. Registration for the Leinster Centra Summer Rugby Camps is currently open at www.leinsterrugby.ie.
