On this All-Ireland Football Final week, we are taking a look back at some of the personal favourite pictures of our photographers from finals past. Now it’s the turn of Pat Murphy.

One of my favourite photos from an All-Ireland Final is of Dublin’s Eoghan O’Gara being thrown in the air by his team-mates after winning the 2011 All-Ireland Final.

O’Gara is celebrating ‘baby-cradle’ style as on the Friday before the match, his girlfriend Elaine gave birth to their first child, Ella.

O’Gara brought little Ella’s hat into the dressing room on Sunday, in another massive day for him. And it must have brought them good luck as the Dubs won out thanks to Stephen Cluxton’s last minute winning free-kick to seal Dublin’s first win since’95.
