Mixed results for the Irish sides yesterday. Leinster on top of Pool 1 as Munster and Ulster suffer heavy defeats.
Seven tries for Leinster eased the hosts to an easy victory in front of just over 18,000 people at the RDS.
Reddan, Cronin, Dave Kearney, Fanning, Moore, Furlong and Luke McGrath all got over the line. Madigan was also on fire from the tee, scoring six conversions and a penalty, to push up Leinster’s tally – and they now sit top of Pool 1 after five games.
Munster are now out of the competition after a disappointing 33-10 defeat at the hands of Saracens at Allianz Park.
Losing 23-3 at half-time, things didn’t improve for them after the break and they now lie 3rd in the Pool, seven points off Saracens, one place above them.
A day to forget for Ulster as a 60-22 loss, away to Toulon, is their worst defeat in Europe.
They now lie bottom of Pool 4 after 5 matches as Toulon earn a place in the quarter-finals.
