Since 1869, Ballybrit has been the site of a summer horse racing festival.

 

This year’s instalment proved to be an unforgettable event as long shot horses, first-timer jockeys and storied trainers alike experiencing the glory of the winner’s enclosure.

 

From a moving tribute to the beloved late jockey JT McNamara on a rain-soaked Tuesday afternoon, to Ruby’s iconic victory in the Galway Hurdle on Thursday riding a horse part-owned by wife Gillian, and everything in between:
