Sportsfile launch The Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016 book
5 October 2016; Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill and Seamus Coleman with Sportsfile photographer David Maher, centre, with Sportsfile's new book, The Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016 - A Pictorial Record, following squad training at the FAI National Training Centre in Abbotstown, Dublin. Remember the excitement of Euro 2016 when the Boys in Green did the country proud? As Christmas approaches the Sportsfile photographic team has compiled a 54-page photographic record of those memorable June days in France. All the goals are included and naturally there are also some great pictures of well-behaved Irish supporters as they did their bit for Ireland of the Welcomes. All the action and fans zone celebrations have now been brought together in a beautifully illustrated book titled The Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016. From Wes Hoolahan’s brilliant strike in the opening game against Sweden in Paris to Bordeaux and a 3-0 defeat to Belgium. Then Robbie Brady’s perfectly timed header as Martin O’Neill’s team beat Italy in Lille to progress to the round of 16, where the dream eventually ended against France in Lyon. With captions by Sean Creedon and supported by CityJet the book is available in book shops and online at http://www.sportsfile.com . (€14.95 plus postage and packaging). Photo by Seb Daly/Sportsfile
