RNLI promote drowning prevention campaign ‘Respect the Water’ at the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final in Croke Park
28 July 2019; NLI volunteer lifeboat crew from stations across Ireland unfurl giant water safety flags on the pitch of Croke Park before the All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final between Wexford and Tipperary. The activity was part of the RNLI’s partnership with the GAA to prevent drownings and share water safety advice. 10 year old Cahir MCallion, from Omagh, Co. Tyrone, who was rescued from the sea at Bundoran last year presents the sliothar to referee Sean Cleere prior to the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final in Croke Park as part of the RNLI’s partnership with the GAA to prevent drownings and share water safety advice.
