GAA Celebrating International Women’s Day, Seachtain na Gaeilge and GAA For All!
8 March 2020; As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia the GAA celebrated International Women’s Day 2020 with Conradh na Gaeilge in Croke Park. Those present were treated to a skills exhibition from five intercounty wheelchair camogie players as part of the GAA’s ‘GAA For All’ scheme in the players’ warm up room. Following that, a discussion panel was held on the topic ‘Women in Sport’. TG4 sports presenter and one of this year’s Seachtain na Gaeilge personalities, Gráinne McElwain, facilitated the discussion and there was contributions from Eimear Considine, Imreoir Rugbaí le Foireann na hÉireann, Gearóidín Ní Thaibhís, An tOifigeach Náisiúnta Éagsúlachta agus Rannpháirtíochta CLG and Máire Treasa Ní Dhubhghaill, Spórt TG4.
