Fota Island Golf Club Prepares to Re-open
17 May 2020; Greenkeeper Damien O'Connor at Fota Island Golf Club in Cork as it prepares to re-open as one of the first sports allowed to resume having followed previous directives from the Irish Government on suspending all golfing activity in an effort to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Golf clubs in the Republic of Ireland can resume activity from May 18th under the Irish government’s Roadmap for Reopening of Society and Business once they follow the protocol jointly published by the GUI and ILGU. The protocol sets out safe measures for golf to return in a phased manner. Photo by Eóin Noonan/Sportsfile
