The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, charity partner to Leinster Rugby, launch Rugby Memories
24 November 2015; The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, as charity partners to Leinster Rugby, today launched their Rugby Memories campaign. Rugby Memories is an initiative aimed at reaching out to people in the community who were rugby fans or players all of their lives, but might now feel socially isolated as a result of their diagnosis and unable to stay as involved with their local clubs. Leinster Rugby and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland are inviting rugby clubs across the province to host such an event to reach out to people with dementia in their communities. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland will also be hosting a choir at the next Leinster Rugby home game, this Friday, against Ulster Rugby in the Guinness PRO12 and hoping to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
