Leinster Rugby to Honour Liam Hagan at Connacht Match
25 October 2016; Stuart Lancaster, Sean O’Brien and Mick Kearney were joined in Leinster Rugby Head Office today by Susan Woodcock, left, and Judith Gilsenan from DEBRA with a picture of Liam Hagan, a lifelong Leinster fan, who was born with EB (epidermolysis bullosa). A Leinster Rugby charity partners DEBRA Ireland and had nominated eight year old Liam Hagan from Monaghan to be a Leinster mascot at the Connacht Rugby game this Saturday evening. Tragically Liam, passed away suddenly only two weeks ago. Liam’s place will now be taken by his best friend and cousin, Adam McCormick, also from Threemilehouse in Monaghan who will walk out at the RDS in Liam’s honour. DEBRA Ireland was established in 1988 to provide patient support services and drive research into treatments and cures for those living with the genetic skin condition EB (epidermolysis bullosa). This week is EB Awareness Week and DEBRA Ireland are asking Leinster supporters pick up a DEBRA Butterfly temporary tattoo at the Connacht match and to text BUTTERFLY to 50300 to make a €4 donation, at UCD in Belfield, Dublin.
