Henri Delaunay Trophy School Visits
28 November 2018; Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Keith Andrews, Jessica Ziu of Republic of Ireland and Shelbourne, and Lord Mayor of Dublin Nial Ring brought the the iconic Henri Delaunay trophy to visit CBS Westland Row, to mark Dublin’s hosting of the UEFA EURO 2020 Qualifying Group Draw at the Convention Centre on Sunday, December 2nd. To celebrate the Qualifying Draw, Dublin City Council and the FAI will hold three ‘Street Legends’ community football events at Aughrim St Community Hall (Wednesday, November 28th), Mountjoy Square South (Thursday, November 29th) and Commons Street (Saturday, December 1st). The hosting of the Qualifying Draw will also coincide with the launch of the National Football Exhibition at the Printworks, Dublin Castle, which will open to the public on Sunday, December 2nd 2018. The Exhibition will be home to a number of elements with historical significance to Irish football. Four tournament games will be hosted at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium during UEFA EURO 2020, the largest sporting event to ever be hosted in the country.
