GAA Clubs Reopen Designated Walkways
8 June 2020; Tadhg Donavan, Chairman of Buttevant GAA Club, opens the gates to walkers at Buttevant GAA club in Buttevant, Cork. Following restrictions imposed by the Irish Government and the Health Service Executive in an effort to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all GAA facilities closed on March 25. Following the easing of restrictions, walkways in GAA clubs opened to members of the public for exercising on Monday, June 8, with pitches due to fully open to club members for training on June 29, and club matches provisionally due to start on July 31 with intercounty matches due to to take place no sooner that October 17.
