2012 Bord Gáis Energy Breaking Through Player of the Year
18 October 2012; Clare half back Seadna Morey has been voted the 2012 Bord Gáis Energy Breaking Through Player of the Year. The Sixmilebridge clubman was picked from a shortlist of six that included fellow Clare players Patrick O’Connor and Tony Kelly to claim the €1,000 prize voucher. Also in the running were Kilkenny duo Ger Aylward and Walter Walsh and finally Tipperary captain John O’Dwyer. The Breaking Through Player of the Year award recognises the overall stand out player of the 2012 Championship and is voted for by a panel made up of Bord Gáis Energy Sport Ambassador and Cork selector, Ger Cunningham, Micheál O Domhnaill of TG4, Bord Gáis Energy Ambassador Joe Canning and former Waterford great Ken McGrath.
