28 February 2007; The Gaelic Players Association announced its biggest annual scholarship scheme today. A total of 64 scholarships are being granted to third level students nationwide, making the GPA awards the largest GAA scheme of its kind in the country. 27 February 2007; Ulster Bank today announced their new sponsorship of Higher Level Education Gaelic Games, they will be making a significant investment over the coming years into the sponsorship which will run up to and including the Centenary Championships in 2011. This is Ulster Bank's first major foray into Gaelic Games and the sponsorship is seen as an important addition to its sponsorship portfolio. The event will take place from April 4-21 and over 700 players from 24 nations will compete.
