28 May 2010; Carlos Alberto Torres, captain of the 1970 Brazil World Cup winning team, was in Dublin to launch the Pele Goals for Life Cup competition on behalf of his great friend which will benefit the Little Prince Hospital in Curitiba, Brazil, and the New Children's Hospital of Ireland. The idea is to attract 100 teams from across Ireland to enter a National 5 a side competition and in the process raise funding to benefit both hospitals. The competition’s winning team will travel on a trip of a lifetime to the cradle of football, Brazil, to be guests of the legendary Pele at a Santos game at the famous Vila Belmo Stadium.
