PolskaÉire Festival 2016 Launch
27 April 2016; Polish and Irish rugby teams will meet for the first time for a friendly match on May 21st in Donnybrook Stadium, as part of this year’s PolskaÉire Festival. Arka Gdynia, Poland’s champions, will face a Leinster Representative Side in this historic encounter. In attendance at today’s PolskaÉire Festival 2016 launch were the acting Minister of State Áodhan Ó Ríordáin, the President of Leinster Rugby, Mr. Robert McDermott and the Polish Ambassador to Ireland, Mr. Ryszard Sarkowicz. The second PolskaÉire Festival will take place all over the island of Ireland from May 16-22. In total, there will be over 70 events organized across Ireland and Poland: in Arklow, Balbriggan, Cork, Dublin, Ennis, Galway, Gdynia, Gorey, Kielce, Kilkenny, Kraków, Limerick, Rzeszów, Swords, Warszawa, Wexford… to name just a few! The festival is co-organised by approximately 30 different partners in Poland and Ireland, under the auspices of the Department of Justice and the Polish Embassy in Dublin.
