Leinster Rugby Launch Aware Harbour2Harbour Walk
20 February 2017; Leinster Rugby players, bottom row from left, Luke McGrath, Josh van der Flier, Dan Leavy, Nick McCarthy, and back row, from left, Richardt Strauss, Hayden Triggs, Mick Kearney, and Peter Dooley were on hand in UCD today with Eamonn O'Reilly, far right, Chief Executive Dublin Port Co., to help launch the Aware Harbour2Harbour Walk which takes place on St Patrick’s Day, Thursday, March 17th. This is the 12th year of the annual walk in aid of Aware, one of Leinster Rugby’s charity partners, and helps to raise close to €40,000 annually to help fund Aware’s nationwide support, education and information services. The Harbour2Harbour Walk takes participants along the spectacularly scenic Dublin Bay and more than 2,000 people are expected to take part. Walkers can choose to walk the 26km/16.2mile route starting in Howth Harbour and walking to Dún Laoghaire Harbour or starting at Dun Laoghaire Harbour and walking to Howth.
