27 March 2017; Electric Ireland, proud sponsor of the GAA Minor Championships, announced the launch of the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Awards which aim to recognise the achievements and accolades of Minor GAA players. Launching the awards were Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Awards selection panel of former Cork hurler Donal Óg Cusack, former Armagh footballer Oisín McConville, former Galway hurler, All Ireland Club hurling championship winning manager Mattie Kenny and Meath Senior football manager Andy McEntee.
