29 April 2017; On arrival at the Leinster Rugby Awards Ball were April McEntee and Lisa McEntee. The Awards, MC’d by Darragh Maloney, were a celebration of the 2016/17 Leinster Rugby season to date and over the course of the evening Leinster Rugby acknowledged the contributions of retirees Mike Ross, Eóin Reddan and Luke Fitzgerald as well as presenting Leinster Rugby caps to departees Bill Dardis, Hayden Triggs, Mike McCarthy, Zane Kirchner and Dominic Ryan. Former Leinster Rugby team doctor Professor Arthur Tanner was posthumously inducted into the Guinness Hall of Fame. Some of the Award winners on the night included; Gonzaga College (Deep River Rock School of the Year), David Hicks, De La Salle Palmerston (Beauchamps Contribution to Leinster Rugby Award), Clontarf FC (CityJet Senior Club of the Year), Coláiste Chill Mhantáin (Irish Independent Development School of the Year Award), Athy RFC (Bank of Ireland Junior Club of the Year).
