GAA Official Charities Announcement
23 April 2018; Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael John Horan with charity partner representatives, from left, Mary Shanahan, Secretary of Kerry Hospice Foundation, Jimmy O'Donnell, Chairman of Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Fund, Sarah Martin, Director of Communications at Concern Worldwide, Jackie O'Connor, Corporate Fundraising Executive at Jack & Jill Children's Foundation, and Martina Jennings, CEO at Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation, as the GAA announced it's list of charities for 2018. Five charities from around the country and representing a range of different causes were selected to be charity partners for this year. Each charity will receive a €20,000 donation from the GAA. This year's GAA Official Charities are; Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation, Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care Fund, Jack & Jill Children's Foundation, Concern Worldwide, and Kerry Hospice Foundation. The 'Rollin2Nowlan' GAA and Croke Park Staff Charity Cycle was also launched, which will see a party of 35 cyclists brave the elements, and lycra, to raise awarness and funds for the GAA's five official charities.
