Street Legends Football Event - Wednesday
28 November 2018; Lord Mayor of Dublin Nial Ring, and Minister of State Brendan Griffin with former Republic of Ireland defender Stephen Kelly and Republic of Ireland international Isibeal Atkinson at the first ‘Street Legends’ community football event in Aughrim Street Community Hall, Dublin. To celebrate Dublin’s hosting of the UEFA EURO 2020 Qualifying Group Draw, Dublin City Council and the FAI will hold two further ‘Street Legends’ community football events at Mountjoy Square South (Thursday, November 29th) and Commons Street (Saturday, December 1st).The hosting of the Qualifying Draw will also coincide with the launch of the National Football Exhibition at the Printworks, Dublin Castle, which will open to the public on Sunday, December 2nd 2018. The Exhibition will be home to a number of elements with historical significance to Irish football. Four tournament games will be hosted at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium during UEFA EURO 2020, the largest sporting event to ever be hosted in the country. Photo by Stephen McCarthy/Sportsfile
