3 Announce Irish National Football Team Mascot Competition
31 August 2010; Nathan Howard, age 4, and his sister Alex, age 7, from Ashbourne, Co. Meath, show off their skills to Republic of Ireland players Robbie Keane, Shane Long and Paul McShane at the announcement today by 3, Ireland’s largest high speed network, and the Football Association of Ireland of an exciting opportunity for one lucky young football fan to be the next mascot when the senior National team play Andorra in the Aviva Stadium on September 7th 2010. The winner will have the chance of a lifetime to lead the team onto the pitch with the captain, Robbie Keane. All entrants must be 7-11 years old. To nominate a mascot, visit www.three.ie and submit 50 words on why your nominated child would make a great mascot for the Irish National football team. The winner will be announced after the team training session on Monday 6th September and the prize will also include overnight accommodation and a new 3Pay phone from 3 for the nominator.
