Team Ireland Golf Announces 2011 Allocations
30 March 2011; The Team Ireland Golf Trust has announced grants totaling €157,000 to fifteen aspiring golfers who are pursuing their careers on professional golf tours. Rebecca Coakley and Martina Gillen will receive grants of €15,000 to assist their campaigns on the Ladies European Tour with Coakley's main target to qualify for the Solheim Cup in Killeen Castle this year. €15,000 is also awarded to Niall Kearney and Jonathan Caldwell who seek to make an impact on the PGA Challenge Tour, and Niall Turner, who will compete on the Asian Tour for the first time after winning his card there will also receive €15,000. Three players are receiving grants from Team Ireland who have graduated from the amateur ranks, Seamus Power, who will compete on the eGolf Tour, Dara Lernihan, who will play on the Alps Tour and Cian Curley, who will play on the Eurpro Tour.
