Ulster Bank, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, brought the prestigious RBS 6 Nations Trophy and Triple Crown to Cork today, Tuesday 7th February. Munster and Irish rugby stalwarts, David Wallace, Frankie Sheahan and Alan Quinlan took part in a number of events to showcase the famous trophies and discuss all things rugby to coincide with the RBS 6 Nations Championship. The trio started their day at a business breakfast hosted by Ulster Bank at the Maryborough Hotel, Cork before Sheahan, Quinlan and Wallace brought the trophies on to the Ulster Bank Patrick Street branch for staff and customers. The final stop on the tour was Colaiste Craoibhinn in Fermoy, where the players met hundreds of pupils and took part in a questions and answers session. Ulster Bank is the Official Community Partner to the IRFU and the tour is part of their grass roots programme which also aims to highlight their Ulster Bank RugbyForce club initiative. Ulster Bank RugbyForce encourages rugby supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community rugby club by volunteering to undertake renovations to clubhouses and grounds. Four lucky clubs (one from each province) will be selected for a very special makeover winning €5,000 of goods and resources to use toward their planned club development during the Ulster Bank RugbyForce weekend in June. 50 other clubs will receive a smaller support of €250 through the programme. Clubs must register for Ulster Bank RugbyForce online at www.ulsterbank.com/rugby by April 13th 2012. Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy, Co. Cork. Picture credit: Pat Murphy / SPORTSFILE
