GAA makes the big “leap” onto Facebook on February 29
29 February 2012; The GAA has launched it's official page on Facebook in the presence of Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, Criostóir Ó Cuana and 2011 All-Ireland winning Dublin footballer, Cian O’Sullivan. The GAA is asking all members and supporters to answer a global GAA call and ‘like’ OfficialGAA on Facebook to unlock access to exclusive news, updates, competitions, and more throughout the year. As part of the launch, and to demonstrate the GAA’s commitment to the whole area of social media, Dublin football defender Cian O’Sullivan held a live Twitter chat through @officialgaa. Check out #GAAQandA for all the questions and answers. Keeping up to date with what’s happening in the GAA world through social and digital media has never been easier. With nearly 17,000 followers on Twitter @officialgaa brings the latest news, match updates and results direct to its followers.
