6 June 2012; John Collins, was nominated by the Pavee Point Travellers Centre to represent his community. John has been involved in youth work with Travellers and is a role model for young Travellers. He is a keen sportsman and a member of Eireann’s Isle GAA club. He currently represents Pavee Point on the GAA’s Inclusion & Integration Committee. For the past two years John has been working in the area of Traveller men’s health and is dedicated to working towards improving the quality of life of his community, with the Olympic Flame during the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay through the streets of Dublin.
