Official Opening of Irish Sport HQ
29 May 2013; An Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D. officially opened the Irish Sport HQ at the National Sports Campus in Blanchardstown. He was accompanied by Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Leo Varadkar T.D. who has responsibility for the development of the National Sports Campus. With him at the opening is the former World 5,000m Champion Sen Eamonn Coghlan. The 19 National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of Sport which have moved into the new Irish Sport HQ are, Angling Council of Ireland, Badminton Ireland, Canoeing Ireland, Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland, Federation of Irish Sport, Gaelic Athletic Association, Gymnastics Ireland, Irish Ice Hockey Association, Irish Judo Association, Irish Olympic Handball Association, Irish Sports Council / Coaching Ireland, Irish Squash, Mountaineering Ireland, Paralympics Ireland, Pitch and Pitt Union of Ireland, Student Sport Ireland, Swim Ireland, Table Tennis Ireland and The Camogie Association.
