DCU confer honorary degrees on three icons of Irish sport
13 November 2013; Dublin City University have conferred honorary degrees on three icons of Irish sport. Former Irish international cyclist Sean Kelly, Ireland and Leinster rugby player Brian O’Driscoll and World and Olympic Champion boxer Katie Taylor (in absentia) each received an Honorary Doctorate, a Doctorate of Philosophy, in recognition of their unique and outstanding achievements in their respective sporting disciplines.
