Team Ireland Departs for the 2014 Special Olympics European Games
9 September 2014; Special Olympics Team Ireland today flew to Antwerp, Belgium, which will host the 2014 Special Olympics European Summer Games. The Games will see more than 2,000 Special Olympics athletes from 58 countries compete from September 9th to 20th. Team Ireland, comprising 46 athletes, will take part in seven sports at the European Games; athletics, aquatics, bocce, gymnastics, football, seven-a-side, and table tennis.
