National Climate Change Campaign Launches GAA Club Competition with Prize Fund of €28,000
18 September 2009; John Gormley T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage & Local Government, centre, was joined by, from left, Peter McKenna, Stadium Director, Croke Park, Mick Spillane, former Kerry footballer, Tony Davis, former Cork footballer and Sunday Game TV analyst, and Julie Manahan, Marketing Manager, Croke Park, at the launch of the national climate change campaign competition for GAA clubs with a prize fund of €28,000. GAA club members are invited to set up a Group for Change at www.change.ie to encourage as many people as possible to join that group and pledge to reduce their carbon emissions and reduce their personal carbon number.
