8 May 2021; Welcome back, we missed you. A late start is better than no start at all with the 2021 GAA season delayed until May 8th because of the prolonged lockdown in the country as the Government and the health service try to get to grips with the Covid pandemic. So, it's no surprise that Derek McNicholas gets a warm round of applause when leading the Westmeath team out for the very first game of the year. Alas, the reception on the field from the Galway visitors is not so welcoming.
