Olympic Gymnast Kieran Behan presented with grant to aid his preparation for London 2012
25 January 2012; Ireland's latest Olympic team member, gymnast Kieran Behan, after presented with a cheque for €20,000, by Patrick Hickey, President, Olympic Council of Ireland, to assist his preparations for the London Olympic Games later this year. The 22 year old, who was told he would never walk again after a childhood illness, has overcome enormous obstacles to be the Irish first gymnast to qualify or the games since 1996.
